(There will always be those who will scoff at our dreams and even try to dissuade us from pursuing our passions. One of my first jobs out of high school was working for an engineering firm as a draftsman. I remember telling my boss that I really hoped to become a painter. He told me that if I was smart I would stick with drafting because painting was foolishness. A few years later a prominent gallery owner told me that I should give up painting and go to work for the yellow pages.
